  • Mister nice guy: Buccaneers fans are the least likely to try to curse or jinx the opposing team.
  • Keep it clean. Tampa Bay fans are the least likely to wear an unwashed jersey for good luck.
  • It's just for fun! Tampa Bay fans rank third-to-last in the league for believing their superstitious activities actually affect the outcome of the game. Only Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Rams fans are bigger unbelievers.
  • Buccaneers fans are least likely to think that a turnover is the result of their uncompleted superstition.
  • Women wear it for the win. Forty-two percent of female Buccaneers fans wear the same article of clothing every game to boost team performance (compared to 21% of male Buccaneers fans).
  • It's not me, it's you: Sixty-seven percent of Tampa Bay fans believe other Buccaneers are more superstitious than they are.

  • “I make sure my wife watches as well; when she doesn't, we lose.” – Male, Age 40-49
  • “I have waffles for breakfast, because that's what I did in 2003 when they won the Super Bowl.” – Female, 21-29
  • “I kiss my dog.” – Male, Age 30-39
  • “I drink a glass of milk before the start of each game.” – Male, Age 30-39
  • “I paint my face like a pirate ship.” -- Female, Age 30-39
