New EIGHTEEN|76 Bar at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport Toasts Budweiser's Heritage
It's not every day that a 2,000-pound Budweiser Clydesdale greets travelers in an international airport, but that's exactly what happened this week in St. Louis for the grand opening of the new EIGHTEEN|76 bar and restaurant, located in Terminal 2 of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.
EIGHTEEN|76 has been in the making for more than two years, with mural accents of Budweiser's history and an interior finish that includes rich hues, real brick, and metal finishes. A reclaimed beechwood-and-stainless-steel bar is highlighted with bright red seats and accent lighting.
“The time and care invested in designing EIGHTEEN|76 is reflective of the quality poured into every single Budweiser we brew,” said Julia Mize, Experiential Marketing, Anheuser-Busch. “What better place to debut the first EIGHTEEN|76 than in St. Louis, the home of Budweiser? Our hope is that busy travelers who may not have a chance to visit the brewery during their stay can at least get a taste of our rich and storied beer legacy.”
EIGHTEEN|76 features a variety of beverages, including Budweiser, Budweiser Black Crown, Stella Artois Cidre and Shock Top Belgian White. EIGHTEEN|76 will also offer a variety of food options, all fitting the need of the busy traveler and the traveler who's looking for more than the standard “grab and go” sandwich or salad.
The St. Louis EIGHTEEN|76 is the first of its kind, but Anheuser-Busch has plans to open more locations in airports and sports venues as early as this fall.
