Budweiser Unveils New EIGHTEEN|76 Bar in Lambert-St. Louis International Airport
A uniquely Budweiser experience, the new bar opens in Terminal 2 today
ST. LOUIS (September 24, 2013) – Travelers passing through Lambert-St. Louis International Airport's Terminal 2 now have a new place to relax that feels both truly Budweiser and a bit like home. EIGHTEEN|76, a new bar concept opening today, will set the stage for a national rollout in airports and sports venues across parts of the country. Anheuser-Busch spent more than two years developing the look and feel for EIGHTEEN|76, involving talented designers and world-class chefs to fine-tune both the ambiance and menu. The name is a nod to the year in which Budweiser was first brewed at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in St. Louis, the same place the great American lager is brewed today.
“Airports and sports arenas are the backdrops for great beer-drinking occasions,” said Julia Mize, vice president, experiential marketing. “Whether in their own city or on the road, EIGHTEEN|76 provides the perfect setting for adults to enjoy our beers and experience the quality and tradition of Budweiser.”
EIGHTEEN|76 is an experience only Budweiser can provide – traditional with a contemporary twist, as reflected in the aged beechwood, chic metal accents and pops of red throughout. Large wall murals feature aspects of Budweiser's history, including the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales.
The bar offers nearly a dozen Anheuser-Busch and AB InBev beers both on draught and in bottles, including Budweiser Black Crown, Stella Artois Cidre, Bud Light and Shock Top Belgian White. Drinks can be paired with savory menu items, like a roast beef hero, pressed pretzel with Shock Top Belgian White mustard, farm house cheese plates, steakhouse caprese salad and roasted red pepper hummus with grilled garlic flatbread.
“Our brewmasters put a great deal of time and passion into brewing Budweiser,” said Brian Perkins, vice president, Budweiser. “EIGHTEEN|76 gives us the chance to share iconic elements of our brand with beer lovers so they leave with a better understanding of why Budweiser has been one of the world's best-loved lagers for the last 137 years.”

About Budweiser
Budweiser, an American-style lager, was introduced in 1876 when company founder Adolphus Busch set out to create the United States' first truly national beer brand – brewed to be universally popular and transcend regional tastes. Each batch of Budweiser follows the same family recipe used by five generations of Busch family brewmasters. Budweiser is a medium-bodied, flavorful, crisp and pure beer with blended layers of premium American and European hop aromas, brewed for the perfect balance of flavor and refreshment. Budweiser is made using time-honored methods including “kraeusening” for natural carbonation and Beechwood aging, which results in unparalleled balance and character. The brand celebrates great times and has used the phrase “Grab Some Buds” in advertising since 2010.
