Budweiser Roars into Sturgis

STURGIS, S.D. (Aug. 1, 2006) -- Budweiser -- the "Official Beer" of the 2006 Black Hills Motor Classic -- invites the nation's motorcycle enthusiasts to "Cool Your Pipes" with collectible Sturgis motorcycle rally 16-ounce aluminum bottles and 12-ounce cans available throughout the region during the 66th Annual Black Hills Motor Classic, Aug. 7-13.

In addition to the collectible packaging, Budweiser is offering rally goers a wide range of opportunities certain to enhance the Sturgis experience, including the Budweiser Rock 'n The Rally concert series, "The Dale Jr. Experience," Budweiser Burnout Bike, the Bud Light Lounge, Green Teams recycling and Safe Ride programs, and the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales.

Sturgis Collectible Packaging

The collectible aluminum bottles and cans are a departure from the traditional look of Budweiser, sporting the official, purple and silver "Black Hills Motor Classic" logo, a chrome Anheuser-Busch crest, and Harley-riding silhouettes. The limited edition bottles and cans were designed specifically for Sturgis and will be available at bar, restaurant, grocery and convenience store locations. Case cartons also feature the Budweiser "Cool Your Pipes" biker logo.

Budweiser Clydesdales

The world's most famous source of raw horsepower is the fan-favorite Budweiser Clydesdales. The "Gentle Giants" will be on display at the Sturgis City Park in downtown Sturgis, and appear at select bars and restaurants in the greater Sturgis area throughout the week.

Kids &Chrome

Budweiser is a premier sponsor of the Children''s Care Hospital and School's annual Kids &Chrome benefit for children with special needs. Established to help fund the construction of a new children's hospital in Rapid City, this year's Kids &Chrome fundraising event will take place on Aug. 9 at the Black Hills Convention Center in Spearfish. The event raised more than $500,000 in 2005.

Budweiser Rock 'n The Rally

Budweiser's Rock 'n The Rally Concert Series brings a variety of popular acts to the region's best outdoor concert venue at the Glencoe CampResort, including Big &Rich, Steve Miller Band, Nickelback, The Black Crowes, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Sammy Hagar and the Wabos, Steppenwolf, .38 Special, REO Speedwagon, Joe Cocker, Georgia Satellites, Gin Blossoms and Cheap Trick. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Experience

"The Dale Jr. Experience" is an exciting, interactive mobile exhibit designed specifically for adult consumers to experience an insider's look at NASCAR and Budweiser No. 8 driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. Also on hand at The Experience and touring Sturgis during the week is an authentic Dale Earnhardt Jr. show car. "The Dale Jr. Experience" located at the Glencoe CampResort until Aug. 10 and at Jackpine Gypsies half-mile track Aug. 11-13 is free of charge, and guests must be at least 21 years old.

Budweiser Burnout Bike

Jeff Clark has performed on some of the world's biggest stages as a pit stop engine tuner and gasman for Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s No. 8 Budweiser Chevrolet. Clark's latest masterpiece combines his passions for NASCAR and motorcycles into the Budweiser Burnout Bike, a custom-built chopper that uses an authentic, five-bolt Goodyear NASCAR NEXTEL Cup rear tire. After the Budweiser Burnout Bike shreds the rear tire, a "pit crew" races in to change the tire in less than five seconds to put the bike back on the track. The Budweiser Burnout Bike can be experienced at area retail accounts.

Bud Light Lounge

Rally visitors can chill or groove in the new, 3,500-square-foot Bud Light Lounge. Located at the Glencoe CampResort, the multi-level Bud Light Lounge uses state-of-the-art video and a variety of cutting-edge technologies to create a free, interactive experience for up to 120 guests 21 years and older.

Green Teams

Anheuser-Busch Green Teams help event organizers promote positive individual behavior and community pride while maintaining a litter-free environment by recycling aluminum cans, plastic and glass bottles. Glencoe CampResort has teamed up with Anheuser-Busch and Ace Steel Recycling to collect recyclables throughout the CampResort, with all proceeds from the recyclables collected donated to the Greater Sturgis Lifecare Foundation.

Safe Ride

Anheuser-Busch and Eagle Sales will continue their industry-leading role in the promotion of responsibility by conducting the "Safe Ride" program at company-sponsored events and retail accounts during the 2006 Black Hills Motor Classic. Eagle Sales has partnered with Da Bus and area retailers to provide a free "Safe Ride" home to adults who may have been over-served. Information on the "Safe Ride" program and all of Anheuser-Busch's responsibility programs will be available at the Consumer Affairs and Education booth within the Clydesdales exhibit area at Sturgis City Park.
