Brewmaster Blog: A Glance Behind Budweiser's Brewing Process with Daniel Westmoreland

Brewmaster Blog: A Glance Behind Budweiser's Brewing Process with Daniel Westmoreland

Having worked with Budweiser for more than 30 years and as Senior Brewmaster at the Williamsburg Anheuser-Busch Brewery, I know a thing or two about brewing beer. It is my duty to make sure that every Budweiser brewed is consistent in drinkability and quality. To ensure this consistency, we use an iconic brewing method that is unmatched.

Williamsburg residents were recently able to take a peek behind the curtain of this brewing process. Thanks to the Budweiser Brewmaster Tour, which will be visiting more than three dozen cities in 2014, visitors enjoyed learning and experiencing the hands on brewing process used to make each and every Budweiser.

Visitors had a great time learning the ins and outs of our eight-step Budweiser brewing process. On the ten-minute tour, guests were taken though the five brewing zones, including a hot brewing zone and a cold finishing zone, with a focus on the beer's ingredients: barley, rice, hops, yeast and water. This mobile brewing experience provided consumers with their own taste of the art, science and passion that goes into making Budweiser.

Be sure to watch my exclusive interview with WEVC, which gives viewers an inside peak of the Budweiser Brewmaster Tour.
