Anheuser-Busch Team Helps Build Homes for Heroes in The Lone Star State
Last month, the Anheuser-Busch National Retail Sales team worked with H-E-B, one of the nation's largest independently-owned food retailers, to build two homes for deserving veterans. The project was executed in partnership with Operation Finally Home, a non-profit organization that assists severely wounded heroes and their families as they transition from the battlefront to the home front. By building houses and raising funds, Operation Finally Home addresses the most pressing need of returning heroes – a home to call their own.
Each year, H-E-B holds an annual “Tournament of Champions” event in San Antonio, the city in which the supermarket chain was founded, to raise funds for a number of Texas charities; Operation Finally Home was the banner charity at this year's fundraiser.
Volunteerism and support for military families are long-standing traditions at Anheuser-Busch.
