Anheuser-Busch St. Louis Tour Center Heats Up Summer with Fresh Look and Cool Tour Options

Summer has officially arrived in St. Louis and what better way to enjoy the hot days than with a cool tour of the famous Anheuser-Busch Brewery in St. Louis.

The St. Louis Brewery and Tour Center has offered tours – a behind-the-scenes look at the history and heritage of brewing the iconic American lager Budweiser – of the company's flagship brewery for more than 125 years.  The St. Louis tour is one of the country's most popular brewery tours welcoming more than 350,000 guests annually.

Although the company's tremendous pride in producing some of the world's finest beers one batch at a time has remained unchanged over the last century, there are several exciting new developments at the St. Louis Tour Center this summer to welcome even more visitors and give guests a fun and memorable experience.

The Complimentary Tour

This free tour offers guests an in-depth look at how some of America's favorite beers are crafted, using the finest, all-natural ingredients, by following the steps of the entire brewing process in 45 minutes. This tour also includes a stop at the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdale stables to get an up-close look at the majestic giants. Those 21 and older get a chance to sample an Anheuser-Busch product in the historic Brew House built in 1891. Guests also have an opportunity to taste another sample of beer in The Biergarten at the conclusion of the tour, where soft drinks are also available.

The Day Fresh Tour

This new tour includes everything from The Complimentary Tour and also takes guests to see the world-class BEVO packaging facility, for a total of one hour and 15 minutes. The tour costs $10 for those ages 21 and older, $3 for ages 3-20, and is free for those under 3. Guests can enjoy three samples on this tour, one at the historic Brew House, one at the BEVO packaging facility and a final sample at The Biergarten. Adult guests will receive a bottle of beer that was brewed that day, and guests under 21 will get a small novelty item.

Beer School

Beer School is a fun, interactive and informative experience that highlights the steps for ultimate beer appreciation. The class is approximately 45 minutes long, and introduces participants to a variety of beer styles, ingredients, proper pouring techniques and food-pairing suggestions. Guests can also discover their new favorite beer as they participate on a taste panel led by an official beer school instructor. This program is limited to guests who are 21 years of age or older, and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $10 per person, which includes the class and gifts for the beer connoisseur.

Beermaster Tour

Guests interested in stimulating their senses and satisfying their curiosity as they explore the art of brewing are invited to join the Beermaster Tour. This tour provides a unique opportunity to experience a behind-the-scenes look at the brewing of Budweiser.  Along the way tour guests will visit the historic Brew House, Fermentation Cellars, BEVO Packaging Facility and Finishing Cellars, and sample beer directly from the Finishing Tank. They will also visit the Budweiser Clydesdales stable and view some of their harnesses in the Tack Room. Upon completion of the tour, guests 21+ will sample quality products in the Beermaster Suite. Reservations are required. The Beermaster Tour costs $25 for visitors ages 21 and older and $10 for visitors ages 13-20. To commemorate the experience, a variety of special gifts will be provided to each guest. The tour is not open to those under 13.

Every tour ends with a visit to The Biergarten, where guests are invited to relax over a variety of beers on draught and delicious food pairings. Starting June 2014, visitors can enjoy the newly unveiled indoor extension of The Biergarten, surrounded by hand-painted murals by local artist Phil Jarvis. The eye-catching murals show the heritage of Anheuser-Busch, with imagery inspired by the classic Budweiser colors. The new indoor seating, just opened this month, extends the size of The Biergarten with more seating available for enjoying world-class beers in a historic setting.
