Anheuser-Busch Brewery Brings New and Improved Holiday Lights Experience to St. Louis

Activities and Expanded Lights Display to Dazzle St. Louis Starting Nov. 22

With Public Lighting Ceremony

ST. LOUIS, – Nov. 12, 2013 – It's a sure sign that the holiday season is near when thousands of twinkling lights are illuminated at the historic grounds of the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in St. Louis. Now in its 28th year, the brewery's famed holiday lights display will shine brighter thanks to new, enhanced guest experiences, including more lights, live music, fire pits for roasting s'mores, and complimentary seasonal beer samples for adults 21 and older.

The public is invited to get a first look at the new experience during the lighting ceremony at 4:45 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, which kicks off season-long holiday activities on the brewery grounds. This year, the towering, Germanic-style red-brick buildings adorned with thousands of lights can be enjoyed up-close as part of a new walking tour beginning at the St. Louis Brewery Tour Center and winding through the iconic brewery campus. Guests can take in the sounds of holiday music from local musicians and snap photos with the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales at the Clydesdales Stable. A family-friendly activity center will also be set up along the walking tour, where guests of all ages can get into the holiday spirit by decorating ornaments, and then step into an inflatable snow globe for a unique photo opportunity.

“Our holiday lights have always been a special tradition for Anheuser-Busch. As part of our commitment to providing remarkable consumer experiences, this year we've added engaging new elements for visitors including more lights than last year, our Budweiser Clydesdales, photo opportunities and samples of seasonal beers and new innovations,” said Julia Mize, Vice President of Experiential Marketing for Anheuser-Busch. “Our enhanced lights display and activities offer more ways for St. Louisans of all ages to come together and make unforgettable memories during the most wonderful time of the year.”

After strolling through the illuminated brewery, guests can get comfy and cozy around warm fire pits to roast s'mores. Adults 21 and older can toast the holiday season over a beer and try complimentary seasonal beer samples including Shock Top Chocolate Wheat, Stella Artois Cidre and Bud Light Lime Cran-Brrr-Rita. Fresh s'mores-making kits, kettle corn and hot chocolate will also be available for purchase.

Following the grand lighting ceremony at the Bevo Circle on Nov. 22, the holiday lights experience will be open every Friday and Saturday through Dec. 28 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Guests can enter through the entrance to the Tour Center, located at 1200 Lynch Street. The experience is free, and free parking is available in the designated Anheuser-Busch Tour Center parking lots, located on the corner of Lynch and 12th streets. The holiday lights experience is also wheelchair accessible and stroller friendly. For those interested in a guided tour, power trams will be available outside the Tour Center hospitality rooms to escort guests through the twinkling holiday lights.

Drive-through tours will still be available Sunday through Thursday evenings from dusk until midnight from Nov. 24 until Dec. 26. Visitors interested in the drive-through tour can enter from Arsenal Street turning onto Seventh Street and then traveling along Pestalozzi Street.
