Anheuser-Busch and its charitable foundation have established the following as their primary focus areas:

• Education
• Health care and human services
• Minority leadership and economic development
• Civic
• Cultural enrichment
• Environmental conservation

Geographic Focus

Contributions are primarily limited to organizations located in communities where the company and its subsidiaries operate major facilities and where its employees and their families live and work.

Grant Limitations

Grants generally are not made to the following types of organizations or activities:

• Organizations that are not designated tax-exempt by the Internal Revenue Service
• Direct grants to individuals
• Political candidates or organizations
• Religious organizations
• Organizations with a limited constituency, such as fraternal or social groups
• Athletic organizations
• Operating funds for hospitals
• Sponsorship of individuals in charitable events
• General operating support to United Way member organizations
• Capital campaign support to secondary schools (other than what is provided through the Anheuser-Busch Foundation Matching Gift Program)

General Guidelines for Submission of Proposals

Following is general information on submitting a proposal for review. There is no deadline for submitting proposals, which are reviewed on a periodic basis. Please allow six to eight weeks for a response.

The following information should be included in your proposal:

• The official name of your organization
• Complete mailing address
• Phone number
• A brief general description of your organization’s purpose and major activities
• The purpose of your request, including the amount being requested and the total project budget
• Dates and amounts of any previous grants from Anheuser-Busch
• Is your organization a United Way member agency?
• Does your organization have a permanent liquor license?

Also, please include the following items with your proposal:

• Most recent audited financial statement
• Current operating budget (including project budget)
• Annual report (or other materials summarizing programs)
• List of current board of directors and their affiliations
• List of current corporate contributors
• IRS letter of tax-exempt certification
• Please do not include videos with your proposal
