The Budweiser Family

For over 130 years the Budweiser name has stood for quality and heritage. Those hallmarks have helped make Budweiser one of the most powerful brands the world over. In recent years, the Budweiser family has grown to include Budweiser Select, Budweiser & Clamato Chelada and, most recently, Budweiser American Ale.

While each beer reaches a different consumer, they all embody the quality and heritage for which Budweiser is renowned. Extending the Budweiser family gives adults the variety they want from a brand they trust and serves to enhance the high regard Budweiser has earned based on its aforementioned merits.

Budweiser Select

In 2005, Anheuser-Busch introduced Budweiser Select – an American-style lager. Budweiser Select answered consumers’ call for a full-flavored beer with light beer statistics. At only 99 calories and 3.1 grams of carbohydrates, the beer appeals to carb-conscious drinkers, but its sophisticated packaging and exceptional taste make it ideally suited for all adults who are looking for a super-premium beer.

Budweiser & Clamato Chelada

Budweiser & Clamato Chelada, much like Budweiser, is steeped in heritage and tradition. Latinos, specifically those of Mexican descent, have been combining Budweiser and Bud Light with Clamato for decades.

As the No. 2 beer in the Latino market, Budweiser was ideally positioned to bring this authentic combination to consumers. Consumers have responded by making Budweiser & Clamato Chelada the No. 3 new beer brand in convenience stores. Chelada is also a huge hit in “red beer” states such as Washington, Colorado, Iowa and Oklahoma, which have long enjoyed red beers – tomato juice and beer - for occasions such as golfing, fishing, hunting and tailgating.

Budweiser American Ale

The latest addition to the Budweiser family, Budweiser American Ale defines a new style of ale – The American Ale – with a robust taste that's full-bodied, but not too heavy nor too bitter. An ale that's distinctly American in character.

In development since early 2007, Budweiser American Ale will launch nationally on Sept. 15 on draught, and Sept. 29 in 12-ounce six-packs and in single 22-ounce bottles.

Meet the Family

The addition of these three beers under the Budweiser banner serves to strengthen the overall brand. When a consumer shopping for something a little different sees the Budweiser names, they know they are purchasing a quality beer that is true to the style and embodies Budweiser’s signature balance of flavor and refreshment.
